What to do when you are stuck | My story
I stood in the middle of the road, thinking, asking myself why I got into this. I could not start trekking the 2hrs journey with my legs that had been stressed enough for that day. Neither could I gather myself together or even think of asking someone I don't even know from anywhere to assist me with my transport fare back home.
Have you ever been stuck like this before?
Maybe it's not exactly in the middle of the road.
Maybe it's a relationship, you know you need to get out of.
Or dilemma, where you have to choose from two options that you don't even want.
Being stuck can be really frustrating, I mean really really frustrating.
But the real deal is "how do you handle such situations?"
I had just had one of the most stressful days of my life... Finished my first job in the morning and was now rounding up the next. I was relying so much on what I would be paid that evening, All the money I had on me got exhausted on expenses I could not run away from that day. I only comforted myself saying," since I would be paid, no problem, I will use the payment to take myself back home" . But you know how the story ended, right?
I started my 2hrs journey back home, trekking with my precious legs, too tired to even walk faster. But then I stopped at a point and a conversation began between myself and I ... U get?
Myself : Precious, is God aware of what is happening right now?"
I : of course , he knows
Myself: Then why did he allow it, or maybe he's just trying your patience, testing you.
I : I don't know everything, but one thing I know that my bible tells me is this 'God will never tempt me, he loves me too much to do that.'
Myself: so what are you going to do now? Continue walking , you have not even scratched the surface of starting the journey.
Tears suddenly fell from my eyes , yeah right there on my way, and I found myself saying out loud, not loud for people to hear though, I said," Lord I know you are going to make a way for me, you have to, I am not going to walk for 2hrs this evening, there has to be a way out of this"
And I started heading back, like I was going back to the park to board a bus, that's crazy right? on my way , I met an old friend, who was also my roommate at one time. We exchanged pleasantries, talked for a while , I didn't even tell her the condition I was in at that moment, I just asked her to assist with a little money to add to the one I had ( which was 0naira ) so I could use for transportation. And there it was, she brought out the exact amount I needed to return home that day.
Most times, when we are faced with challenges, especially pressing ones, we get so caught up in it that we forget , the Way maker, the one that can make rivers flow even in the desert.
The truth is that, he knows how hard things are going ,but he's also trying hard to get your attention to see the way out. If you actually took a step back, and look around, you would see that he already made a way for you, you were just to distracted with the present challenge!
Take a step back, Have a conversation between yourself and You, but remember one thing, God is never interested in throwing trials at you (the devil is the master at that ), what God is interested in doing, is taking you out of it....
So TAKE A STEP BACK, HAVE A CONVERSATION, AND LISTEN FOR HIS DIRECTION FROM WITHIN.... cos He surely will lead you to do something which doesn't always makes sense most of the time , however just follow because that's always the way😌. He is the waymaker.
